In 2022, we launched FotoLab in New York City—a self-portrait studio where you could capture professional headshots without a photographer. Our simple and affordable setup led us to expand to Houston within a year. We’ve since taken millions of headshots and earned thousands of 5-star reviews, proving the need and value of high-quality photos.
Early AI headshot generators were disappointing until we foudn breakthroughs in AI image generation models in late 2024 which achieved nearly studio-quality results. This milestone inspired us to develop FotoLab Studio AI, the first AI headshot generator created by a real photo studio.
